Apprentice Plumber

Description:Our construction company is looking for a Apprentice Plumber to work on the supervision of our Licensed Plumbers.

Duties:Under supervision of Licensed Plumber, performs diagnostic, service, and installation of plumbing in residential and light-commercial environments in accordance with relevant codes.
Assembles, installs, or repairs pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems in accordance to specifications and plumbing codes.
Communicates with customer to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Promotes products and services to customer.
Works under the direction of the Licensed Plumber.
As directed by the Licensed Plumber, analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely, and accurate manner.
Identifies potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
Maintains and repairs plumbing systems carrying water, steam, chemicals and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating and other process piping systems by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.
Inspects high pressure, air, steam, water and gas systems to ascertain malfunctions
Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures test joints and pipe systems for leaks, open clogged drains, measure, cut, thread, bend, ream and install pipe and pipe fittings.
Assembles pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications:This position will require thefollowing:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Apprenticeship card a plus
• Must have good communication skills and presentation to with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in order to make sure the customers and company’s needs are met.
• Ability to perform service/maintenance on all residential/commercial sites for all plumbing services needed (water,gas, sewer, etc).
• Ability to follow/locate plumbing diagrams andschematics.
• Ability to solder/weld/braze and perform minorfield fabrication.
• Ability to work overtime/night/weekend hoursas required.
• Must have the ability to be part of a team; must work with and assist other co-workers as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds.
